The Standard SafetyCell utilizes sophisticated solid state circuitry to mix your cell phone and radio signals together and bring them into your headset where you can hear them clearly. The SafetyCell is an interconnect device that couples your
cell phone into your aircraft headset. Allows simultaneous use of the
cell phone and aircraft radio. At all times, you will hear both the caller
and the radio transmissions. When you reply to the cell phone caller,
just talk as you normally would into your headset mic. If you wish to
transmit on the radio, just push your push-to-talk switch as you normally
would. Just plug it into your aircraft’s standard headset and mic jacks,
then plug your headset into the SafetyCell. The third cord from the SafetyCell
plugs into any standard hands-free 2.5mm jack supplied on most modern
cell phones. If your cell phone does not have a 2.5mm hands-free jack,
you may need to purchase an adapter from your cell phone provider. The Standard SafetyCell is small enough to fit in the corner of your flight bag and only weighs 6 oz. It does not require any batteries.
The Battery Powered SafetyCell is powered by a 9V battery which will
last for hundreds of hours and it has a built-in MP3 jack so you can listen
to your favorite music and still have your cellphone connected. It is housed
in a slim custom case that will slip right into the pilot pocket of your
airplane. The battery SafetyCell will work with any headset, in or out of
the airplane. If you want to use your SafetyCell on your boat, lawn mower,
truck or airplane, this is the unit for you. The Bose 6 Pin SafetyCell
model is for those that have a built-in Bose headset and do not use the
Bose battery pack. This model is an amplified SafetyCell that is especially
altered for the Bose headset circuitry. No batteries are required. The Bose
6 pin model fits between your headset and the panel to give you seamless
integration of your cell phone and radios. The standard Bose locking connectors
are supplied. The Helicopter SafetyCell is an amplified SafetyCell
using the standard military (NATO style) single plug for interface. This
unit is powered by a 9V battery so you do not have to have your intercom
turned on for it to work. The Helicopter SafetyCell is amplified and will
work either in or out of your craft.
NOTE: This will only work in an extremely quiet environment; the Standard SafetyCell is not amplified.
